Formula Student
Formula Student is both an international programme and the biggest competition of its kind, run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), in partnership with various well known companies, it promotes careers and excellence in engineering through challenging university students to design, build, develop, market and compete as a team with a small single seater racing car. It provides students with a real-life exercise in design and manufacture and the business elements of automotive engineering and attracts applicants from universities situated all across the world, culminating in the finals held at Silverstone each year.
