Jap Show - Fully Boosted for 2010!
The JapShow at Santa Pod Raceway is a highlight of the calendar for any Japanese car fan in the UK. The essential ingredients are this: Japanese cars and a dragstrip to use them on. But there is so much more to this show than just the famous Santa Pod quarter-mile...
So, what do I need to know about the 2010 show?
- The JapShow has traditionally been held in June, but this year it takes place on the 4th July.
- The HKS Drag Series holds a round at the JapShow, and features the fastest Japanese cars in Europe, including Pro class cars which hit over 170mph in just 7 seconds.
- The track is also open to the public, and anyone with a Japanese vehicle and a driving licence will be able to join the racers on the dragstrip and take part in the Run What Ya Brung Competition
- Club display areas and club camping are available for no extra charge
- There's a free-to-enter show car paddock with trophies for the top cars
- There's a handling track, drift track with passenger rides, and stunt shows
- The Mitsubishi Lancer Register are hosting a celebration of the Evo, with a display of every model produced
- Traders, a mobile dyno, bar and catering facilities will all be at the show
- Weekend tickets are available for those who want to camp over before the show and enjoy the Saturday RWYB test day
- Japanese bikes are also welcome at the show and on track
